4 cups all-purpose flour 2 cups yellow corn meal 2 Tblsp sugar 1 tsp salt 2 Tblsp baking powder 4 eggs 3 cups milk 2½ Tblsp vegetable oil ½ cup butter, melted
This makes a lot of corn bread, even a half recipe is enough for four people; just cut all measurements in half, and use a 2" x 8" x 8" pan.
The original recipe called for 1½ cups of sugar, but that was much too sweet!
